EMDR Therapy Basic Training

Join me in Cocoa Beach for an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Basic Training that will expand your skills, transform your practice, and equip you to help your clients heal in ways that talk therapy alone sometimes can’t reach. Whether you’re brand new to EMDR or have only heard bits and pieces, this training is designed to meet you where you are and take you where you want to go—feeling confident, equipped, and supported every step of the way.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported, highly effective therapy that helps clients reprocess traumatic memories and experiences at a deeper level—where the nervous system stores pain, stress, and stuck patterns. It’s used around the world with children, teens, and adults, and it’s backed by over three decades of clinical research. This therapy goes beyond insight. It helps people truly heal, often when nothing else has worked.

This training is approved by EMDRIA, the international organization that sets the gold standard for EMDR education. That means everything you learn will align with best practices, evidence-based protocols, and ethical use of EMDR in clinical settings. You’ll leave with the confidence to use it in sessions, not just the theory behind it.

I’m Jackie Flynn, and I’ll be guiding you through this experience. I’ve designed this training to be clear, experiential, and genuinely helpful. We’ll practice together, not just talk about it. You’ll work in small groups, receive personalized feedback, and have ten hours of consultation built in after the training to support you as you begin using EMDR with your clients.

And we’ll do all of this in a setting that nurtures learning and restoration. Cocoa Beach isn’t just a location—it’s a way to begin each day grounded, connected, and regulated. If you choose, we’ll meet by the ocean each morning with coffee in hand and waves at our feet. It’s an experience that supports your nervous system while you learn how to support your clients’ healing.

If you work with children or teens, there’s an additional bonus for you. Once your basic training and consultation hours are complete, you’ll receive free access to my 7-hour advanced EMDRIA-approved course on integrating EMDR with kids using play therapy strategies. Because young people process trauma differently—and you deserve tools that meet them where they are.

This is more than a training. It’s a turning point. If you’ve been searching for a therapy approach that is both structured and flexible, backed by research and guided by attunement, this may be what you’ve been looking for. EMDR has changed the way I work—and it has changed the lives of so many clients I’ve walked alongside. I’d love to help you bring it into your work, too.
